Greyhound Capital
Intune, Autopilot and Okta implementation in three weeks
Greyhound Capital is a London venture capital firm regulated by the FCA. Ahmed led a short, intensive implementation to replace a patchwork of tools with one modern endpoint and identity platform, working on-site with the operations lead and the CEO, and completed the core build in three weeks.
The brief
Stand up Intune and Windows Autopilot for every device, move identity, SSO and provisioning onto Okta, enable MFA and passwordless sign-in, retire Duo and Kandji, tie Microsoft 365 licensing to the HR system so joiners and leavers are automatic, and keep Google and Microsoft 365 calendars working together — in three to four weeks, mostly on-site.
What was delivered
Devices
- Intune tenant design and Windows Autopilot enrolment, so new laptops are shipped sealed and configure themselves on first sign-in
- Compliance baselines, encryption, update rings and application deployment; Kandji decommissioned once every device was under Intune
- Full device inventory reconciled and a written onboarding guide so the next starter could be set up without a consultant
Identity
- Okta as the identity provider with SSO to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and the firm's SaaS applications
- SCIM provisioning and HRIS-driven lifecycle automation: an HR record creates the account, assigns the licence and group memberships, and removes them on exit
- MFA for everyone with passwordless sign-in, replacing Duo
Collaboration
- Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 calendar coexistence so free/busy and invitations work across both platforms during the transition
